Our wines - Nandivalley Winery
The unique feature of M/s Vinod Farms and Hampi Heritage Winery Company Pvt. Ltd, Bijapur, is that the 100 acre plot was exclusively developed for growing French variety of grapes in the Krishna Valley. The enterprising sitting Member of Parliament of India Mr Ramesh C Jigajinagi took up this venture after interacting with one of India’s best Horticultural Scientist Dr Shikhamani ( Dr.Shikhamani heads the National Horticulture Research Institute at Hessaraghatta, near Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India).
Thus started India’s epoch making units for brewing of French wine on Indian soil. Continuing the legacy and heritage of Bahamani Sultans of 16th century who ruled Bijapur, the new millennium venture was named as Hampi Heritage Wineries. The untiring efforts of Mr Ramesh Jigajinagi’s sons Mr Vinod and Mr.Anand have turned the once stony, barren and gravel land into a green pasture, an awe inspiring place reminiscent of 13/14 century Hampi.
